Terms of Service

Last updated 2 October 2026

Who we are, and who these cover

SKYNET runs the SKYNET-AP network service from Tarkwa, Western Region, Ghana. These terms are an agreement between you and SKYNET, and they cover anyone who buys internet access from us or from a hostel using SKYNET-AP. network installation work is covered by the price and agreement for that job, and hostels we work with have their own written agreement. Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why.

Your account

You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Google. If you use Google, Google's own terms also apply to that sign-in. Keep your password and your network login to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else is using your account. You can ask us to close your account at any time by writing to info@skynetap.com.

What you are buying

Internet access at the hostel where you bought it, paid for upfront. There is no subscription and nothing renews by itself. A pass gives you unlimited data for a set time. A bundle gives you a set amount of data that never expires. We do not promise a particular speed.

If you buy a plan while another is still running, the new one waits and starts when the first one ends. Its time starts then, not when you paid. Each plan allows a set number of devices, and your devices are remembered for thirty days.

Each hostel sets its own prices, so the same plan can cost a different amount somewhere else. The price you see before you pay is the price you pay.

Payment

You pay with Mobile Money. We confirm the number is yours with a code before charging it. Your network may add its own charge, which is theirs and not ours.

Refunds

If you are charged and your plan does not start, tell us and we will refund you. If the network at your hostel is down for a long time, contact us. We would rather put it right than argue about it. We do not refund time you did not use on a plan that worked, or data you chose not to use.

Fair use

Do not share your login. We can see when one login is being used in two places at once, and sharing it repeatedly may end your access. Do not use the network to break the law, to attack anyone, or to spoil it for other residents.

When the network is down

Internet lines, power and equipment can fail. When a hostel's equipment cannot be reached, we stop selling plans there rather than take money for network we cannot give you. We cannot promise the service will never go down, but we measure how long each hostel is online so we know when we have fallen short.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Questions go to info@skynetap.com. These terms are governed by the laws of Ghana.
